He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Eugene and Helen Gilbert (Cravens); his siblings, Gilbert Smith and Bernice Smith; and his nephew Master Sargent William Crays.
He is survived by: his close friend Mollie Miller; his sons, Isiah Love of Texas and Derrick Seago of Rockford, IL; and his siblings, Delbert Smith (Linda) of Litchfield, Donna McDonald (Rick) of Litchfield and Christina Love (Tim) of Texas. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
