It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Jones of Litchfield, Illinois, born in Covington, Kentucky, who passed away on October 19, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Houston, Sr. and Violet Lillian Jones (Dunn); his children, Richard Jones and Lisa Jones; and his siblings, Ralph Jones and Joyce Hodge.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Covington; his children, Eric Jones (Crystal) of Knoxville, TN, Cheryl Nickerson (Rob) of Litchfield and Melanie Jones Williams of Knoxville, TN; and his grandchildren, Kelly Lawrence (Daniel), Chelsea Bowman (Eric), Karen Nickerson (Mark Beanblossom), Blake Nickerson, Brett Nickerson (Shelby), Alec, Barret, Carleigh Long, Morgan, Jonah Jones and Addie Jones Davis. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
Due to CDC guidelines, social distancing rules will apply and masks will be required.
The family asks for donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Samaritan's Purse.
