He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Simmons and Lula Mae Simmons (Roberts); his wife Joyce Carleen Brakenhoff; his children, Raymond Simmons (Vicki) of Evansville, IN, David Simmons (Jacqueline) of Haymarket, VA. and Laura Simmons of Columbia, IL; his sister Roberta Daniels (Gene) of Cincinnati, OH; his grandchildren, Zachary Simmons, MaKenzie Frazier (Jeremy), Emma Simmons and William Simmons; and his great grandchildren, Gunnar, Wyatt, Eli and Calla Mr.
The family suggests memorials be made to Wounded Warriors Project or Concordia Seminary.
