He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. E. H. Stratmeyer and Zonna Stratmeyer (Laird); his sister Carolyn; his father-in-law Darrel E Reller; and his granddaughter Morley Grace Bruhn.

He is survived by: his wife Diane (Reller); his daughters, Lynne Bruhn (Derrick) of Monticello, IL and Kelli Ellinger (Doug) of Litchfield, IL; his granddaughters, Mabry, Mylin Bruhn, Faith and Elysse Ellinger; his sister Marilyn Hobson (Robert) of Hopkinsville, KY; and his mother-in-law Eleanor Reller of Litchfield, IL. He is also survived by nieces, a nephew, and several cousins.
