He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth R. Sr. Young. He is survived by: his mother Tjode Lee Barnes Young of Hillsboro; his spouse Micki Simpson; his children, Britney (Clay Murphy) of Litchfield, Ashley (Joe Webb) of Litchfield and Kevin (Marrissa Young) of Litchfield; his grandchildren, Cooper Martin, Maggie Murphy, Cal Webb and Baby H; and his siblings, Kenneth R. (Sandy Young, Jr.) of Mt. Olive and Tracy (Bill Cooley) of Chatham Private.

Memorials may be given in Kevins Memory to the Building Trades program at Litchfield High School.
