He was predeceased by: his parents, Purl Walch and Elfreda Walch (White); his stepmother Loretta Lowe Walch; and his sister Sherry. He is survived by: his wife Penny Jo Newkirk; his children, Craig Walch (Billie Jo) of Raymond, Curtis Walch (Dawn) of Raymond and Cheri Whitman (Robert) of Litchfield; and his grandchildren, Craig Walch, Jr. (Mikka Lipe), Kate Walch (Trevor Viehweg), Kari Dragoo (Tony), Addie Walch, Kylie Bates, Clayton Walch, Emma Walch and Elise Walch.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association.
