He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Deaton and Kathryn Deaton (Masulis). He is survived by: his wife Beverly Jean Deaton (Kirby); his daughters, Mary Kathryn Lovejoy (Robert) and Amy Deaton Williams; his granddaughters, Elisa Fessler (Kyle) of Jerseyville, IL, Taylor Lovejoy of Los Angeles, CA, Molly Sweeney (Nick) of Colorado Springs, CO, Erin Privett (Christian) of Republic, MO and Rachel Schindewolf (Brad) of Granite City, IL; his great grandchildren, Grace, Grant Fessler, Ellis Sweeney and Cohen Privett; and his brother Paul David Deaton of Litchfield, Numerous. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made in John's honor to the Cedar Ridge Cemetery.
