She was predeceased by: her parents, Velma Pearl Wendel, Sr. and Guinn; her husband Ronald Lee Gelsinger; her son Donald J. Settles, Sr.; her siblings, John "Junior" Wendel and Marjorie A. Ellinger; and her grandsons, Ronald and Ronnie Gelsinger, Jr..

She is survived by: her siblings, Richard Wendel and Sarah Kirby of Litchfield.
