He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvy Garst and Stella Garst (Lutz); his wife Nancy Ann Coss; his siblings, Robert Garst, Clifford Garst, Henry Garst, Evelyn Winterbauer, Betty Lomalino, Vera Killem, Dorothy Laswell and Connie Taylor; and his grandson Jason Odle.
He is survived by: his children, Alvin Garst (Candy) of Eagarville, IL and Carol Kunz (Randy) of Murrayville, IL; his sister Linda Garbin of Girard; his grandchildren, Amber Roston, Jodi Garst, Eriel Garst, Danielle Garst, Alicia Garst and Emily Odle; his great grandchildren, Steven White, Jarred White, Nathan White, Christa Migut, Chaz Migut, Cheawne Migut, Christian Migut, Breana Trimble, Brandt Odle, Brisa Odle, Brayla Odle, Bristol D'Antonio, Caylee Foley, Jordan Adams, Seth Kenter, Olivia Kenter, Paisley Fricke, Serenity Brown, Kylie Garst, Britney Thorton, Sommer Thorton, Bo Thorton, Lucus Gibson, David Odle, Miles Odle, Alillyhana Henry, Achilles Henry, Ayramis Henry and Abygale Henry; and his great great grandchildren, Ricker Odle and Taeden Odle.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines, social distancing rules will apply and masks will be required.
The family suggests memorials be made to Montgomery County Cancer Association or Litchfield Veteran's Memorial Garden.
