He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Boerckel and Caroline Boerckel Jr. (Buzick); his brothers, Jimmy Boerckel and Gene Boerckel; his sister-in-law Linda Boerckel; his niece Amy Boerckel; and his grandparents, John, Edith Boerckel Sr., Toney and Cora Buzick.

He is survived by: his siblings, Terry Boerckel (JoAnna) of New Douglas, IL, John Boerckel III (Karen) of Litchfield, IL, Nancy Brewer of Litchfield, IL and Carol Ondrey (Kenny) of Livingston, IL; and his nieces and nephews, Theresa Kirkwood (Dave), Terry Boerckel (Jennifer), Clint Boerckel (Angela), Gene Boerckel Jr. (Linda), Christina Sargent (Will), Tania Brooks, Joni Mayfield (Lonnie), John Boerckel IV (Shannon), Coralie Brewer, Mike Brewer (Suzanne), Michelle Belt (David), Matthew Brewer (Anna), Danny Brewer (Kathy), Rachel Brewer (Parker), Jeff Davis Jr. (Rachel), John Davis (Sandra) and Tish Schmedeke (Cavin).
