She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur Dean Matthews (William Runnerstrom); her daughter Thelma Louise; and her siblings, Edward Brown, Vernon Brown, Glen Brown, Theodore Brown, Lloyd Mathews, Curtis Mathews, Loise Mathews, Wallace Mathews and Paul Mathews.

She is survived by: her sons, Arthur Matthews of Matteson, IL and Kenneth Matthews of Glenmoore; her grandchildren, Kenneth Arthur Matthews of Chicago and Kiana Matthews of Sacramento; and her sisters, Viola Grinage of Palm Harbor, Ruth Saunders of Elizabeth and Winona Womack of Harrisburg. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
