It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Page Strickland of Lisle, Illinois, born in Biloxi, Mississippi, who passed away on February 8, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen E Barnes and Clara Joy Barnes; and her husband William Strickland. She is survived by: her sons, Edward Strickland Sylvia (Peggy), Stephen Strickland (Lisa) and David Strickland (Megahn); her grandchildren, Jacob Strickland, Will Strickland, Blake Starnes, Lincoln Strickland, Gabe Strickland, Ella Strickland, Jude Strickland, Madelyn Strickland, Heidi Strickland and Juliet Strickland; her sister Deborah Barnes; her niece Emily Young; her nephew Robert Bacsik; and her aunt Sheryl Barnes.

“I was just getting to know her also and looked forward to meeting with her after my retirement in January. She was a welcoming lady who seemed very trusting that God would take care of her. Not worrying about her condition and looking forward to the future. I will miss getting to know her more and know I'll see her again someday.”

“I was just getting to know her!! We lived five minutes away from each other. She was a sweet lady with a big smile. We went to First Watch and putt-putt golf and some movies and other restaurants together in recent months. And when she spoke, you knew she was from Georgia!! Cannot believe this happened! She travelled a lot last fall, visiting family, and I heard a bit about her chemotherapy. She asked about my travel plans My sympathies to her family members and friends. But she is with Jesus.”
