We are sad to announce that on February 27, 2024, at the age of 87, Barbara Arlene Detig of Lindenwood, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Enno Fischer and Ruth Fischer (Finan); her son Mark Detig; her great grandchild Ellis Modjeski; and her siblings, Frances Reints, Mary Ellen Rahn, Kenneth and John Fischer.
She is survived by: her husband Jim of Lindenwood; her children, Michael Detig of Lindenwood, Nancy Reed (Mike) of Rochelle, IL, Susan Detig Gilbert of Redmond, WA and Mary Detig of Lindenwood; her brother David Fischer (Diane) of Rockford, IL; her grandchildren, Erin Modjeski (Cameron), Joel Detig (Whitney), Katie Paulsen (Eric), Allison Reed (Justin Durancik), Jacklyn Mlejnek (Michael) and Emily Gilbert (Shane Kilduff); her great grandchildren, Callan Modjeski, Cormac Modjeski, Emerson Durancik and Dylan Detig; her grandchildren, Norna Detig (Todd Seaworth), Eric and Hannah Seaworth; her caregivers, Rachael and Dawn; and her close friends, Kathy and Steve Korth.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Barb's memory to Serenity Hospice and Home.
