He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Edith Sternfeld; his children, Michael Sternfeld and Karen Rollins; his stepchildren, Perry Schechtman (Britta), Randi Dorn Ryan (Jay), Marc Schechtman (Donna) and Craig Schechtman (Laina); his grandchildren, Brady, Todd, Lauren, Ryan, Megan, Lindsay, Alex, Michael, Jamie, Noah, Helena, Nela, Sonya, Adam and Arielle; his great grandchildren, Max, Wynn, Theo, Owen, Sam, Aidan, Olivia, Addy, Asher and Ella; his brother Ernst Sternfeld; his niece Ruth Mesnil; his nephew Bill Sternfeld; and his former wife Elfie.
