He is survived by: his wife Aiko; his son Ronald (Patrice) of Chicago; his granddaughter Sarah of Berlin; and his siblings, Steve Shimizu (Dorothy) of California, Momoyo Maehira of Hilo, Betty Morioka of Honolulu and Sue Tanaka of Seattle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
