He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Rothschild and Johanna Rothschild; his brother Edward Rothschild (Emmy); his wife Dena Rothschild; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Freeman (Helen) and Tevis Freeman (Janet).

He is survived by: his children, David Rothschild (Merle Branner), Lisa Linn (Greg) and Sarah Rothschild (Stan); his grandchildren, JJ Linn (Victoria), Emily Linn, Zachery Linn, Charlie Rovin (Abby), Miriam Rothschild, Michael Yancovich and Katie Yancovich; his nephews, Steven Rothschild (Lisa Oppenheim), Mark Rothschild (Tricia), Phil Freeman, Ken (Norma Freeman) and Bobby Freeman (Wanda); his niece Shana Singerman (Fred); and his close friend Rochelle Nathan.
