He was predeceased by: his parents, Ella and Charles Maier Sr.; his wife Margaret; and his grandson Spencer Maier. He is survived by: his sister Joan Corrigan; and his children, Anthony (Edita), Nicholas (Heather), Charlotte (Louis Rosen), Patrick (Tina), Michael (Kimberly), Mary (Jesse Wilde) and Charles III (Mary). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph Church-Wilmette (1747 Lake Ave, Wilmette, IL 60091). A Mass was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church - Wilmette (1747 Lake Ave, Wilmette, IL 60091).
