He was predeceased by: his brother Martin Schumi; and his parents, Anton Schumi and Maria Schumi. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Michael (Kathleen), Paul, Karen Couture (late Richard), Laura Styka (Brian) and Stephen; and his grandchildren, Ryan Schumi, Megan Schumi, Julianne Styka, Grace Couture, Katherine Couture and Mary Styka.

In lieu of flowers memorials to Misericordia Home in honor of Eric Hansen or Queen of All Saints Basilica appreciated.
