He was predeceased by: his wife Madelyn Bentkover; his parents, Sam Bentkover and Lillian Bentkover; and his brother Dr. Stuart Bentkover (Nancy). He is survived by: his children, Deborah Brauer (Joshua) and Dr. Scott Bentkover (Diana); his grandchildren, Rachel Brauer, Nadia Flodstrom (Chris), Andrew, Matthew Bentkover and Maya; his brother Warren (late Fern); and his partner Gail Richardson.
A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Congregation Beth Shalom (3433 Walters Ave, Northbrook, IL 60062). A shiva was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Scott and Diana Bentkover Residence (845 Anderson Dr, Libertyville, IL 60048).
