She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Snyder and Frances Snyder (Whitesell); and her daughter Dawn Banning (Ware). She is survived by: her husband David Deters of Lincoln; her children, Shawn Ware and Jasen Deters of Lincoln; her stepchildren, Jodi Deters of Broadwell and Jeffrey Deters (Andrea) of Rochester; her grandchildren, Hailey Banning and Ethan Ware; her siblings, Lynn Snyder (Lois) and Linda Thomas; and her pet Ricki.

Memorial donations may be made to the Pleasant Valley Cemetery Association or to the Knapp/Chestnut/Becker Historical Society.
