He was predeceased by: his parents, Abshure "Huey" Rogers and Frances L. Rogers (Wilson); his wife Doris Irene Freeman; and his siblings, Baxter, Mary, Paul, Helen, George and William.
He is survived by: his children, Melode McDonald (Owen) and Troy Rogers (Mary); and his sisters, Shirley Brown (Darrell) and Kay Boyd. He is also survived by three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made in Robert's name to The Humane Society of Logan County.
