He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Mattson and Beverly Mattson (Hayden). He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Ritchhart; his daughter Angie Damm (Randy); his granddaughters, Cortnee Worthington (Dakota) and Sofee Jo Damm; his great grandchildren, Blaine and Brenton Worthington; his siblings, Gary Mattson (Marilyn), Kathy Houser, Lynda Mattson, Carolyn Wallace, Robert Mattson (Pam), Jamie Mattson and Lisa Mullenix (Rick); and his siblings-in-law, Alan Lolling (Janice) and Teri Helton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran School or to Faith Lutheran Church.
