He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Young and Lucille Young (Ryan); and his sister Jeanne. He is survived by: his wife Theresa (Verderber); his children, Michelle Fuiten (Howie), Derek Young, Erik Young (Danielle) and Kyle Young (Emily); and his grandchildren, Carson, Carter, Cecilia, Ella, Leo and Crosby.

Memorial donations can be made to Carroll Catholic School Athletics and the Lincoln Knights of Columbus.
