She was predeceased by: her parents, E. B. Beaty and Anna Marie Beaty (Chesterman); her husband William Wesley Smock; and her brother Paul Beaty. She is survived by: her pet Chip; her children, John Smock (Laura), Jan Malerich and Lou Aue (Kirby); her grandchildren, Megan Malerich, Sarah Smock, Max Pozsgai, Mindy Malerich and Katie Friedrich; her great grandchildren, Eugene Joseph Friedrich and Elizabeth Ellen Friedrich; and her sister Evelyn Gregory. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Logan County or to District 27.
