With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lizzel Cook of Lincoln, Illinois, born in Magnolia, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 6, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Cornelius Varnado and Symantha Varnado (Allen); her husband James Allen Cook; her siblings, Mozella King, Majorie McGee, Melvin Varnado, Julius Varnado and Robert Varnado; her children, Nina Cook, James Allen "Jimmy" Cook, Norman Cook and Harold Cook; and her grandson Matthew.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Rosemary Cunningham M. D., Linda McGrady, Beverley Ross, Stacy Jackson (Eric), Steven Cook, Stephanie Johnson, Joe Cook and Dr. Lisa Cook; and her grandchildren, Harold Cook Jr., Chase Cook, Tina Cunningham, Nicole Cunningham, Angela Cook, Brian Cook, Kristina Hinton, Natasha Wilson, Lewis Ross, Christina Williams, Allen Ross, William Ross, Nathan Ross, Felicia Froeter, Amina Fleetwood, Brittany Cook, Tyler Cook, Cameron Cook, Janeesa Cook, Davin McCray, Elizabeth Johnson, Samantha Johnson, Andrew Cook and Cieyara Porch. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins.
