He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Cleveland and Georgia Irene Sheley (Sparks); his wife Gwendolyn Halsey; and his siblings, Howard, George, Richard, Dorothy Snyder, Virginia Klockenga and Mildred Maaks.
He is survived by: his children, Marla Sheley of Lincoln, IL and Clint Sheley (Pat) of Lincoln, IL; his grandchildren, Candace Van Bogaert (Henry) and Ryan Sheley (Kati); his great grandchildren, Noah, Alyssa, Morgan and Brooklyn; and his siblings, Wayne Sheley, James Sheley (Joni), Robert Sheley and Jessie Rankin.
Memorials may be made in Homer's name to Safe Haven Hospice or the National Kidney Foundation.
