We are sad to announce that on November 24, 2020, at the age of 85, Gene Burwell (Lincoln, Illinois), born in Beason, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Iona and Kenneth; his sister Elaine Butler; and his nephew Kevin Lessen. He is survived by: his wife Karen Benters; and his children, Tami Klink (Brian) of Wales, WI, Toni Burwell (Greg Purviance) of East Peoria, IL, Eric Burwell (Karin) of Bloomington, IL and Curt Burwell (Christine) of New York, NY. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family requests memorials be sent to Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln to assist individuals and families affected by the COIVID 19 pandemic.
