It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Deane May of Lincoln, Illinois, born in Lawndale, Illinois, who passed away on February 17, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard May and Mary Grace Williamson May; his wife Jane May; his siblings, Bob, Jim, Bill May, Mary Lou Wilson, Helen Haseley and Dorothy Morrell; his siblings-in-law, Gibb Wilson, Vernon Haseley, Sr., Norman Fink, Pat May, Carol May and Lois Zurkammer May; and his son-in-law Brian Ruble.

He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca Weatherford of Iowa City, Iowa, Cynthia Bickhaus (Charles) of Denton, Texas and Margaret Ruble of Plano, Texas; his siblings, Richard May and Barbara Fink; and his brother-in-law Virgil Morrell. He is also survived by five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

“I have known Dean for at least 40 yrs and admired him for his humanity. I don't think I ever heard him say anything bad about another person. He always looked at the good and not the bad. He was always looking for or working on his old farm equipment and if he couldn't figure something out he always knew someone to get advise from. We lost a really good man by his passing. R.I.P. Dean”
