He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Schmidt and Sigrid Schmidt (Erickson). He is survived by: his wife Sheila Rose (Prangle); his brother John Schmidt; his children, Darlene Persons (Patrick), Debra Raca (Ronald), Daniel Schmidt (Christine) and Dana Schmidt (Diane); his grandchildren, Kendall Persons (Lindsay), Hillary Schroeter (Timothy), Paige Persons, Riley Raca, Delanie Raca, Samantha Schmidt, Mackenzie Schmidt, Cooper Schmidt and Sydney Schmidt; and his great grandchildren, William, Philip, Margaret Persons, Cole and Logan Schroeter.
