She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Couvall and Georgia Couvall; her husband Frank Karigan; and her brother Peter Couvall (late Donna). She is survived by: her grandchildren, Alexis, Melissa, Alexandra, Anthony, Frank and Zoe; and her siblings, Edna Mitchell (late Bill), Theofane Patterson (late George), Laverne Couvall, Patricia Rendziperis (Nick), George Couvall (Jackie) and James Couvall (Janet). She is also survived by her numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and dear friends.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Libertyville, IL.
