She was predeceased by: her parents, Eleanor Drake and Benjamin Drake; her grandmother Merly; her husband Delbert Coleman Sr.; her son Delbert Coleman Jr.; her siblings, Fred Freeman Jr. (Patricia), James Freeman Sr., Betty Hill (Stokes), Shirlee Myles (Willie), Benjamin Drake Sr., Sarah Lynn Shaw (Eddie) and Jerry Drake; her in-laws, Artie Coleman and Helen Hurd; and her sister-in-law Teresa White.
She is survived by: her children, Damaris Hill (Mark), Derrick Coleman (Claire), Patrick Coleman and Tamala Rae McKinney (Zeus); her grandchildren, Davon Coleman (Vashnie), Deborah Shields (Brent), Veronica Hill, Kaiden Hill, Daniel Coleman, Derrick Coleman Jr., Stephanie Rountree (Walter), Deshawn Coleman, Justin Mckinney, Tyler McKinney and Isaiah McKinney; her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Drake and Willard Brown; and her friends, Katie Franklin, Lenora Cole, Jack Cole and Eva Ledet. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Congdon & Co Funeral Directors (3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
