It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melissa Mondie (Libertyville, Illinois), born in Waukegan, Illinois, who passed away on August 12, 2022, at the age of 43, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Chris Kolaras; and her aunt Donna Ponticelli. She is survived by: her parents, Cindy Barker (Barry Hodnik) and Larry Mondie; her stepfather Harry Barker (Lora Stouder); her brothers, Josh Mondie (Robin) and Blaine Barker; her aunts, Franny Christiansen (Brian) and DiDi Nadelhoffer (Greg); her close friend Nicola Rushford; and her pets, Taco and Bogart.

In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to the family as a foundation is being established based on domestic abuse.
