“I used to live down the street from Lois on Linden Ave in Waukegan about 40 years ago. I became a single parent suddenly to my 8 year old son and desperately needed a babysitter. I didn't know Lois then but a neighbor knew her and suggested I talk to her. I went to her door and explained my situation and she graciously agreed to watch my son before and after school. I was so scared and desperate, but she came through for me in a time of need. I'll always remember her for that. John Szwedo”
