He is survived by: his wife Judye of Graylake, IL; his children, Jennifer Houtz-Menzies (Ian) of Third Lake, IL, Jordan Houtz of Phoenix, AZ, Jillian Houtz of Lindenhurst, IL and Thomas of Sacramento, CA; his grandchildren, Atticus Menzies and Ellis Menzies of Third Lake, IL; his pets, Damien Houtz of Grayslake, IL and Angus "Colonel Angus" Houtz of Grayslake, IL.; his siblings, James Houtz (Carol) of Ashburn, VA and Beverly Houtz of Dayton, OH; his siblings-in-law, Patricia Degner (John) of Zion, IL and Mark Gunter of Champaign, IL; his nephew Paul Degner of Zion, IL; and his nieces, Stephanie Houtz-Anderson (Nick) of Reston, VA and Samantha Pierce (Jacob) of Herndon, VA. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
