He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" F. Jayko and Emilia Jayko (Cudzik); his wife Jean; and his sister Ruth Walsh (Michael). He is survived by: his children, Brent of Bradenton, FL, J. Robert "Bobby" Jr. of Gages Lake, IL, Bradley of Excelsior, MN, Blythe Lancaster (Randy) of McHenry, IL and Beth Panowicz (Jerry) of Stilwell, KS.. He is also survived by grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to the Libertyville Foundation, in memory of John R. Jayko and his love for Kenloch Park.
