He was predeceased by: his parents, George Childs and Elizabeth Childs (McKenna); his wife Mary; and his son-in-law Coach Stephen Pappas. He is survived by: his children, Dr. George J. Childs (Ree) and Catherine Pappas; and his granddaughters, Heather Childs and Dr. Brittany Childs-McCallion (Michael McCallion).
