She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl and Caroline; and her siblings, Carl, Martha, Esther and Reinhold.
She is survived by: her husband Richard; her children, Susan Speidel (Pastor Thomas) of Lisbon, WI, Mary Dawson (Bruce) of Taylorville, IL, Steven Hawkins (Susan) of Antioch, IL, Catherine Hawkins of Macon, GA and Jeffrey Hawkins (Marian) of Portage, MI; her grandchildren, Laura McCall (Jason), Julie, Rebecca, Peter Speidel (Lisa), Elizabeth Elkins (Kenny), Christina Baumgartner (David), Steven Dawson (Amanda), Carolyn, William (Christina) and Karl Hawkins; her daughters, Laura Lackey of Macon, GA and Betty Casarsa-Marques of Brazil; and her pet Abby. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; several dear nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Libertyville, Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, IN, or Redeemer Lutheran Church in Merritt Island, FL.
