With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dimitra Kakates of Libertyville, Illinois, who passed away on October 2, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodoros Tsevis and Sevasti Tsevis; and her siblings, George Tsevis (late Evthokia), Basiliki Mandas (late Stathis), Elpida Gravanis (late Bobby), Androniki Fousekis (late Efthimios), Kostadinos Tsevis and Christo Tsevis (Stacy).
She is survived by: her spouse Basilios C Kakates; her children, Elena Hughes (John), Sylvia Brya (Scott) and Chris Kakates; her grandchildren, Carissa, Julia Hughes, Lucas, Andrew Brya and Basilios Kakates; and her siblings, Elefteria Vouris (late Evangelos), Athena Harisis and Nick Tsevis (Stella).
In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.
