He was predeceased by: his parents, Swarnalata Saikia and Kaliram Saikia. He is survived by: his wife Rupali Saikia (Kakoti); his daughter Prita Wadhwani (Saikia); his son-in-law Sabir Prem Wadhwani; his granddaughter Maya Wadhwani; and his siblings, Shyam Saikia, Pratul Saikia and Dipti Borah (Saikia).
