It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis E Dovel of Libertyville, Illinois, born in Elkhart, Indiana, who passed away on April 21, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Dennis shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Dennis farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his children, Todd Dovel Bridges and Tycho Dovel; and his sister Toni Dovel. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Dovel; his children, Sheri Hiatt (Steve), Aaron Beck (Randi), Michael Dovel (Shana), Jamie Jeromin (Dan) and Nicholas Dovel; his siblings, Cindy Vaitonis (Steve) and Mike Dovel; and his aunt Phyllis Jackson. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church (1151 N St Marys Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048).
