In loving memory of Dale A. Smith of Libertyville, Illinois, born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, who departed this world on April 21, 2025 at the age of 77. Though Dale may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dale touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Bertha Alonzo; his stepsons, David Alonzo and Christopher Alonzo (Betty); his stepgrandsons, Christopher and Giovanni Alonzo; and his sisters-in-law, Raquel and Armida Contreras.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home (120 W Park Ave, Libertyville, IL 60048). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church (135 S Milwaukee Ave, Lake Villa, IL 60046).
