He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Vetter and Ruth Vetter (Engberg); his wife Ruth Vetter; and his son Raymond Earl Vetter, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela Houskeeper (Douglas) of Milford, PA and Deborah Vetter (Rick Ladenburger) of Princeton; his sister Vivian Anderson of Crystal Lake, IL; his granddaughters, Linnea, Amber and Heather; and his great grandchild Natasha. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
