He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick Wakeman and Mary Wakeman (Mombrum); his wife Joan Louise Moore; his daughter Deborah Lynn Wakeman; his grandson Michael Brainard; and his siblings, Mildred Elliot (Walter), Ella Mae Krug (Leo) and Raymond Wakeman (Josephine).
He is survived by: his children, Mary Jones (Jeff) of Wilmington, IL, Louis F. Wakeman of Sparta, IL, Tina Spinnie (Dan) of Coulterville, IL and Rosemary Burmaster (Gary) of Coal City, IL; his brother Leroy Wakeman (Irene) of South Wilmington, IL; his grandchildren, Sandra Chapman (DJ), Daniel Babcock, Lance Spinnie, Megan Krull (James), William Burmaster (Melony) and Laura Jones (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Samantha Day, Danielle, Gabrielle Babcock, Angela Burmaster and Logan Burmaster; and his great great grandchild Hayden Henschen (Babcock).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Peter U.C.C. Church in Lenzburg, IL.
