He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Hills and Minnie Hills; his wife Grace Elizabeth Hills; and his siblings, Sarah (Wayne McMurtry), Wendall (Dorothy Hills), Bob (Lillian Hills), Dan (Marion Hills), Rev. Dwight (Kathryn Bennett), Frank Eshelman (Marcene) and Tom (Marion McLeRoy).

He is survived by: his children, Janet Overmyer (Everett) and Dean Hills (Kym); his grandchildren, Beth Overmyer, Rachel Anderson (Ben), Whitney Hills and KayLynn Schuetzner (Matt); his great grandchildren, Brianna, Seth Anderson and Dean Schuetzner; and his sister-in-law Marcene Eshelman. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces.
