He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilhem Kayser and Katherina Kayser (Auer); his wife Esther Schafer; his son Michael Wesley Kayser; and his siblings, Paul Kayser, Barbara Reichardt and Erika Prygocki.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Clay; his son-in-law James Clay; his grandchildren, Jacob Clay, Elizabeth Clay, Matthew Clay (Sarah) and Rachel Clay (Nathan Lott); his great grandchild Logan Clay; his brother Karl Kayser; and his brother-in-law Henry Reichardt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established in his memory for the Lena Area Historical Society.
