It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Nelson (Lena, Illinois), born in Morrison, Illinois, who passed away on September 30, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Nelson and Dorothy Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Kim Nelson of Lena, Illinois; his children, Rachel Zipsie of Greenville and Corey Nelson of Lena, Illinois; his grandchild Aleese Stone (Rane) of Kansas City, Kansas; his great grandchild Rhys Stone; and his sisters, Gayle Schou (Wayne) and Martha Moellenberndt (Jim). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Lena-Winslow Foundation, a scholarship fund supporting students pursuing education majors, or Odin's Heart Foundation.
