Karen Macomber Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Macomber (Lena, Illinois), who passed away on September 18, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Obert and Edna Obert; and her siblings-in-law, Janet Obert, Barb Woessner and Karl Woessner.
She is survived by: her husband David Macomber of Lena, IL; her children, Jeffrey Macomber of Clarence, IA, Lisa Pick (Jim) of Loves Park, IL, Michael Macomber (Domoni) of Lena, IL and Stephanie Flynn (Jeremy) of Lena, IL; her grandchildren, Matthew Macomber (Alicia Klees), McCall Macomber (Chris Garcia), Hailey Pick, Austin Pick (Rachel Huwe), Laurel Wolff (Kyle) and Jace Flynn; her brothers, Gaylon Obert (Jeanne), Gary Obert (Ann) and Steve Obert (Jan Mitchell); and her brother-in-law Bart Macomber (Pam). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Afolkey Grace Evangelical Congregational Church. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to Rock River Bible Camp and Rockford Rescue Mission.
