Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Harmon Ewing Jr. of Lena, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 89, on December 19, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, John, Sr. Ewing and Frances Ewing (West); and his son Jack Henry. He is survived by: his friend Jim Huber; his wife Shirley VanderDrink; his daughters, Kari Hartman (Rod) and Tricia Ewing (Dan Shaulis); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Justin, Arika, Alexis, Austin, Annie, Kevin, Phillip, Josi, Jenna and John IV; his sister LaLonii Schindler (Dennis); and also Sharon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A special thanks to the care on 2 North at FHN, and to this granddaughter, Elizabeth, who stepped in to be his visitor when Covid took us out.
