He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Rakowska and Velma Rakowska (Davidson); his sister Doris; his stepson-in-law Clare Larson; his stepgranddaughter Stephanie Takala; and his brothers, Darrell "Chick" and Gary Rakowska.
He is survived by: his spouse Beverley Dirksen (Lindquist); his siblings, Opal Weick of Lena and Jerome "Mike" Rakowska of Stockton; and his sister-in-law Colleen Rakowska of Lena. He is also survived by six step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
