It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Duane Allen Simler (Lena, Illinois), who passed away on November 16, 2018, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Linda Simler of Lena; his parents, Albert Simler and Betty Simler of Freeport; his daughters, Brenda Westfall (Randall) of Rodney, MI, Beth Gordon (Michael) of Springfield, IL and Brittany Simler of Portland, OR; his grandchildren, Heidi, Hewyt Westfall and Hanna Westfall; his siblings, David Simler (Kathy) of Freeport, Darius Simler (Sherry) of Pearl City, IL and Diane Niemann (Daylon) of Warren, IL; his aunts, Twila Simler, Nancy Simler and Ruth Elgin; and his uncle Harold Simler. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
